Property Maintenance in Coalville
Leicestershire
Coalville is about four miles east of our Ashby base, and much of the work here is repairs and improvements to older housing. Drains, carpentry, electrical and outdoor work from one team.
What we get called out for in Coalville
A lot of Coalville housing is older stock, and older stock tends to need fixing rather than replacing - which is usually cheaper and almost always less disruptive. Recent jobs here include a broken soil pipe found and replaced after years of rodent noise, a slow drain descaled, crazy paving repointed at a house in Donington le Heath, a fence repair, a curtain pole fitted to a 1930s bay window and a TV socket installed to get the cables out of sight.

Broken Soil Pipe Repair and Rodent Proofing in Coalville
Mark got in touch after years of hearing rodents climbing the soil pipe. The pipe is boxed in and runs up through his living room and the bedroom above, so the noise carried through the house — though nothing ever got into the rooms themselves. Several pest control firms had been out over that time and none of them had stopped it. He asked us to put a camera down the drainage system and find out what was actually going on.
