What we were called out for
The customer wanted a Water2 filter fitted in their kitchen, so they could take filtered water straight from the tap rather than keeping jugs in the fridge or buying bottles.
What we did
The unit is plumbed in under the sink, which is a cupboard people actually use — so how it is fitted matters as much as whether it works. We mounted it clear of the waste pipework, ran the connections so nothing is strained or kinked, and left the isolation accessible rather than buried behind the trap.
Then tested it through, checked every joint under pressure, and made sure the cupboard still takes what it took before.
The result
Filtered water on tap, and an under-sink cupboard you can still put things in. Cartridge changes are a two-minute job rather than something that needs the whole cupboard emptying first, which is the part people only appreciate a year later.
